Heater blow gone

Heater blow gone
Hello, Collected my new well 2nd hand cherokee today its a 2001 4.0 Limited
All the heater blowers were working fine then suddenly stopped
Any ideas?
Also it sounds a little tappy mainly on 1st start up sounds ok revving is this normal covered 145k

The fuse should be located in the passenger side kick panel.

At 230K, mine sounds like a Cummins when it's cold, and Singer sewing machine when it's warm, lol. You'll find that's more the norm than the exception.
If you have a Fram filter on there, switch to Mopar, Wix, Purolator, Napa, etc. The Fram drainback valve doesn't mix well with the cockeyed filter mount on the XJ leading to dry starts. That might be your startup lifter tick right there.
