Default Heat Problem

Hello everyone, i have a jeep cherokee XJ, 1994, and i am from kuwait, in kuwait the weather in the summer is very hot, and in winter very cold.
but i am having heat problem that my engine's heat reaches above the half if it was turned on and not moving, the heat keeps increasing, once i was stuck in a trafic jam and the heat almost reached the FULL, but i turned off the car immediately, the other problem is the electric fan doesn't work if the heat reached above the half i dont know whats wrong with it, although it does work when i turn the A/C on !!
and my clutch fan is good, i even took the thermostate out of the engine and i am driving without thermostate, but still the heat keeps going up if the car was parked and on.
anybody have any idea what might be the reason ? is it fans ? Radaitor is new, i got it last summer.
plz help
thanks

Have you checked the coolant level?

Is the water pump working?

Is there a clog in the cooling system? Have you done a coolant flush?

If the fan never comes on unless the AC is on it sounds like the fan has a failure somewhere in the system. Maybe a bad connection, maybe a bad fuse or relay. It could be a few things.

Fan switch could be bad if it's not turning on to cool it. But make sure the coolant level is up to par first.

hello all
thanks for the reply, yes i got a new Radaitor and the coolant is ok, i usually checks on the oil and coolant almost every two days, everything is ok, the clutch fan is working very good, when i am on the road driving, the temperature almost reaches the 100, cuz the weather is cold now, but if i am stuck on a traffic jam for sometime, the temprature keeps increasing, once it almost reached the full but i parked and turned the car off ..
some ppl told me that the head of the engine might be damaged or something, and some told me that i need to take off both fans and replace them with nissan maxima fans, cuz my problem is with fans as they says ..

You shouldn't have to swap your fans out.

If you are driving and your temp doesn't hit just under 210, something is wrong.

It almost sounds as if the thermostat is doing the opposite of what it should be doing.

1. Your efan should turn on when you reach approx. 217 f.

2. Water pump condition. How old is it? I generally replace the water pump when I pull the radiator. If you are having trouble with temp creep at idle and you have replaced the fan clutch, the water pump is next on the suspect list.

3. Radiator CAP. About $5.00 and critical to cooling system performance. Replace it, if you didn't when you replaced the radiator.

Dear tjwalker
u r right the efan should turn on if my heat reached 217 f but it doesnt, thats a thing.
water pump, i didnt change it actually, it was placed in the engine when i bought it from the junkyard, so it could be a problem yes .. and i will also change the radaitor cap if it does really effect the heat ..
but u know why i suspected the fans ? because once i connected both fans with the start of the engine, and i got the heat i wanted, which is 150 f, but without A/C, but with A/C it reaches the 217 f when it is stopped and on, but if stopped for long time .. it increases

and about gee oh dee, well i dont have a thermostat at all, i canceled it when i replaced the engine, so i have no thermostat now, but the car is ok because here in kuwait, all cherokees r without thermostat, some replace it with the chevrolet thermostat that opens on 150 f ..

In that case its gotta be the fan switch/relay.

If the fan is suppose to kick in and it doesn't, whatever triggers it to kick on is faulty. Maybe wires, maybe a sensor, start poking around in that area.
