Headliner is shot
Fiberglass pad and all. Pulled it today. Two showers and I still itch. So has anyone come up with any new ideas lately (already did the "search" thing) besides hitting the jy for one (60mi one way trip for me),spray bedliner,or just leaving it as is? For those who've just left it as is are there any negatives? Sure would make life simpler.

Oh, just, I'm in the same boat. I just don't look up. I saved the old in case i want a template. Figure some day I might find something at the JY. If I found the right "fiber board", I might primer and paint it like the Sistine Chapel or something. Meanwhile that old goat of a 4.0 is dragging the rest of the metal attached to it into smaller and smaller pieces. (and IT'S not attached that well)
In a little over a year? I haven't had a problem with condensation. (could happen), I have a radio, no noise problem. heat here has not been an issue. If you search more you might find numerous Ideas...don't forget Google!

I bought fabric from Joann Fabrics that was slightly padded, and stretchy. This allowed me to glue down the cneter long ways, and work from the center out stretching as I went. I have a picture on my page here. It's been 2 years, and my ceiling and overhead council are still looking great.

THANKS for the info, guys. I'm not too concerned with doing anything real soon. I do like the idea of putting something directly against the top though. I'll just use it as is for a while and see how it goes.
One thing. I've had MANY different vehicles over the yrs and been around alot more. I can honestly say I've never come across a particular vehicle that is as prone to this problem as the Cherokees.

I pulled my headliner out last fall no real problems other than the bare metal roof gets really hot. Hey Earl what part of WV are you from?

HOT's not the word for it. When I got to the point of removing the material that was against the roof I found out real quick not to touch it (again). But I was in direct sunlight and it was hot yesterday.
I'm in Burlington. Mineral County. How about you?

I was told not to glue fabric directly to the fiberglass board because it would show all the imperfections and the glue could seep through

Yeah that's what I did.. I bought new grey fabric with padding on the back. Used this super sticky spray glue andddd it's starting to fall in the back corners

If it is falling down now, you did something wrong or used wrong glue.
