Driving on the freeway today and the transmission module went out "again." this is my second time having to pull over and pull the fuse and just manual shift my way home. 1996 Cherokee sport 4x4 auto trans. w/ 185,000 miles. Could there be an electrical issue other than the module itself that is making it go bad. I have a spare module but want to know if anyone has a possible fix before I put the new one on. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks


UPDATE****. Just unplugged the TCM from under the dash and plugged it right back in and it works fine again. I'm thinking it's a loose ground or something to do with wiring. Still up for suggestions.
