You should start with a Putco wire harness upgrade first.

Old, oem headlights: When the roads were wet and the lines were worn and with oncoming traffic, it was practically impossible to see the road.. In all honesty is was gettin dangerous! They were as we'll aimed as could be, but we're just too weak and the housing was all filmed-over...
New headlights: holy ****!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe the difference! I don't even have the harness in yet (lights still function well/safely without it) and I can see so much BETTER and FARTHER! I think I have them aimed a bit conservatively as when on low they don't stretch quite far enough. It's usually a matter of adjusting the angle all of a few MM, depending.. Oh and don't buy into that blue/yellow bulb shenanigans- they are no different than clear, except that only ricers and really expensive euro cars have a tinted light... Jeeps aren't euro, so don't be that euro-trash-jeep-headlight-guy... Just IMHO, of course...

Re the Virginia state inspector on the headlight inspections: Virginia doesn't allow radar detectors either. In fact, they are a confiscatory state.

Virginia is a very pretty state, but I think I'm glad I live in the outlaw State of Arkansas.

Yep. Makes your headlight switch last alot longer, along with having 30% brighter lighting even with stock headlamps.

Being from PA my solution to the whole imspection issue is to just swap parts come inspection time cause typically cops don't care about pointless little stuff like LED headlights. I have a spair pair of sealed beams i just swap out, and i have smaller wheels and tires i swap as well cause for inspection the tires aren't allowed to stick past the flares which is no fun. I think HIDs are worse staring into head on then LEDs but whatever.

My 99 always squeaks by barely come inspection day, my 94 however never has a problem. The 94 kindly donates it's 31's to my 99 in place of it's 35's with 2.5 in. of backspacing on the rims. They stick out real nice but the inspection station doesn't see the glory in it that i and probably most everyone on here does, oh well.
