Probably shorting out. For several months I had to drive down the freeway around midnight after I got off work with my headlights flashing on and off, fortunately I never got pulled over for it. Any way replace the switch it's cheap and easy and there is a harness upgrade somewhere on line for roughly $35 that is supposed to take the strain off the switch.

So I've got the cash for this now and I have two more questions.
1. Aside from the headlights will any other lights be brighter like the driving lights or tail lights
2. Will this prevent my headlight switch from melting, because I drive lights on at all times and have already replaced the switch once.

1. No. Ground refreshing and connector refreshing will help with that, along with additional ground cables.
2. Absolutely!!!!!
