Header Choices....??
I've been searching for a replacement exhaust manifold/header which I would like have connect directly with the stock exhaust system. The prices range from $150to $400+ and I was wondering about experiences with headers. I like the idea of a stainless header. Any experiences that you choose to share will be appreciated.......

i did quite a bit of research on headers for cherokees....and from everything i found, any headers wont give you any more performance, i think the most they ever found was 1 h.p. on a dyno, which is neglegable. from what they said, get the one with the thickest, heaviest guage pipes, so you wont have them crack again, as this is said to be a common problem with the cherokees, though i havent experienced it.....yet...lol but anyway they already come with tube headers, so just get the cheapest heaviest built one you can find. or if your in to stainless steel or chrome, go that way lol but ya thats my 2 pennies

I don't know why my headers are all scaley and rusting out but do you think they need to be replaced? 138k miles on them. I live near the ocean and so did previous owner. That is probably why.
Take a look at the picture of them at the bottom in the thread below.
