Default hard start and stumbling.

these may not be related.. i dunno.
ive had cherokees for over 10 yrs and i thought i had encountered almost everything with the 15 cherokees that ive owned but i guess not.\
this is a 94 4.0 auto.. it takes forever to start. i tried cycling the key, changed the filter, cps etc.. still the same..(the filter actually made it a little better)
the other thing is the annoying stumbling problem. its only right from a dead stop.. when its cold its basically non existant.. so i tried the things that would make sense.. tps iac valve temp snder and iat sender.. still the same ... i pulled connectors on the injectors to see if each one were cycling and they are getting power .. i checked each connector and they are all giving a pulse instead of full power.. new battery cables...
i was reading that someone had a similar problem and it ended up being the injectors?? any thoughts ?
i have a set of stock mustang 5.0 injectors that i think will work.. anyone done this?? it should be an upgrade right?
any help would be appreciated..
thanks
doug

*Condition of tuneup hardware? Fresh champion copper plugs gapped to .035, new plug wires, distributor cap and rotor.

*Have you cleaned your throttle body? A must-do if you haven't. They get pretty nasty over time. Use only throttle body cleaner on it. Bench cleaning is best, but you can do a reasonable job with the TB on the engine

*How many miles on the engine? Original injectors? As you have some new ones, get them in there and see if it makes a difference.

*I'd freshen all of your engine grounds. They get pretty corroded over time. By freshen, you must disassemble, clean, reassemble.

*Verifying your fuel pressure WITH A GAUGE is never a bad idea. Could have a marginal fuel pump.

I believe that the 5.0 injectors are a good choice for the 4.0, but I'm sure that somebody with actual experience here will chime in.

i got it!!!!
i changed a bunch of things but the coil was the problem..
actually when i took the coil bracket off the block there was some corrosion on the bolt threads, so i cleaned that at the same time which might have been another problem..
but it works now.. better than ever!
