Default Grounds and such

I am so glad I found this thread! Just went through it and it is awesome!
I am a proud third owner of my tan 1987 jeep wagoneer limited edition currently with 161,000 miles. When I turned 16 I got a minivan and hated it so quick that I wanted a new vehicle. So I got mine from a family friend (second owner) for free because he couldn't keep it anymore and wanted it to be with us. Cool fact about my wagoneer, the first owner was a billionaire. I always thought that was cool haha.
When I got it, the electric radiator fan was so gunked up in sand (it was used as a beach vehicle) so I took it out and never replaced it. Now I am almost 20, 3 years later it led up to engine overheating failure. I took it to a family known mechanic and told me my cylinder head gasket blew and it was caused by overheating and told me I was dumb for driving it around all of these years without proper air cooling. Ended up being a whole engine rebuild and a thousand bucks to get this indestructible 4.0L engine running again. Now she runs great and have been taking good care of her since then! Got a new electric fan installed and have it hooked up to a manual switch so I can turn it on sooner then the temp sensor does.
Anyways I will be posting regularly on this thread now since I just found it today, and there is a jeep junk yard across town I just discovered last week and will be doing repairs and whatnot! I will post about them here and maybe do a write up.
Today I completely disassembled the throttle body and cleaned everything out, and next project will be the 4 hole fuel injector swap. It was claimed it will have a better fuel economy and add an extra 30-45 miles per tank. Also we used to pull our 28 foot boat with this jeep, so the rear leaf springs are just squashed and I will be getting a new suspension this summer as well! lots of projects coming up that is for sure!

87, huh?

You've got some homework to do. Click on the link in my signature and do posta 1 through 5. 27 would be better than 2 if you can solder.

Get the radiator with the cap and the place for the cooling fan sensor.

Here's the routing for the hoses.

Well yesterday and today the forums are having problems uploading pictures right now. But anyways I did #1 on my homework. I took out the ground stud and that thing was a sucker to get out. I have a very bad case of rust and oil build up but I finally got the ground stud out. Cleaned it all with a wire brush. My ground wire cover was just completely bear and worn out so got some electrical tape to cover it up. I didn't like how the dipstick bracket sat in between the engine block and the bolt. Put that back together clean and went over the the firewall ground and took that off. I did not like the weak thin wire so I replaced it. I had some old good copper jumper cables laying around and I just crimped it on the original terminal connectors and scraped the paint off and re-install. My grounds are now refreshed.
I will upload the pictures of the process once cherokeefourms gets their **** together.

Awsome thanks cruiser I'm probably going to plug the port on the tstat housing for the fan sensor delete the mech fan and run 2 10-11" electronic fans one to go on with the ignition and one on a toggle since I'm deleting ac in the future.

Did you click on "manage attachments" , then "upload"? Here it doesn't exactly tell me when it's done uploading. Something changes on the bottom left, then on your post you can see the attachment is there. (you can "close this window"......

Well I just tried it again and 4 out of 5 failed. Don't know why the rest do not work.
Well it rained all day and I busted my throttle body rod plastic link yesterday while refreshing grounds. Will run to the local 4x4 shop tomorrow and get a replacement.

It works here on the mobile app. Here are the rest of my pictures from yesterday for document. Also to make the process easier I removed the vapor canister.

Been gone for awhile, was gone in Kansas for memorial day and came back and needed supplies before I start on #2. I chose to eliminate the C101 by soldering. My c101 was very dirty and corroded. There were 23 wires total so the key is to be organized because that's a lot of connections to solder. This took about two hours, took a little longer then expected because some of my wire colors were faded and had to double check. Here are the photos. Cruiser... there was another connector left of the c101 and should I eliminate that too?
