Default Fuel filter
I looked at autozone,advance and oreilly websites and none of them show a fuel filter for '99 Cherokees, does anyone know why not?

they make them but autozone does not list it thats weird

i googled it you filter is in the gas tank it self

Yea, you have to drop the tank and take apart the fuel pump assembly to replace the filter

I read the Chiltons manual and I thought it said it's on the driver's side rear framerail,but my Chiltons only goes up to a '98.I thought the '98-'99 are pretty much the same.

Every cherokee after 96 has it in the pump assembly.

if the pump is still in the front of the gas tank like mine it aint that hard to get out

Agreed, I was offered a 97 for the same price as a 96. I chose the 96 for certain reasons. Fuel filter being one.
