Can any one tell me where the fuel filter is I have a 92 4.0 Thanks

On the inside of the drivers side "frame rail" just above the axle.

These filters are "directional" so be sure that it is installed with the arrow pointing the right way (tells you on the filter).

Arrow points to front of vehicle if filter doesnt indicate it.

Um, I think it will be brown. They all are after about 10k miles.

Also if you manage to get it backwards your super talented, one end is bigger than the other and other will be obvious

Nope it's not. For the 2000, it's inside the gas tank unfortunately, and I'm pretty sure it's part of the entire fuel pump assembly. So you shouldn't need to change it unless the fuel pump itself is bad
