i changed my front axle joints and put it all back 2gether in 2wheel drive does good i put it in 4 wheel drive and i get a sqeaky sound any ideas

did u grease ur u joint at the grease zert wit a grease gun?

 

I have a squeak that I think others have referred to as "angry sparrows." Apparently, I need to rebuild the double cardan joint. You may need to also. Problem is, I can't find crap for parts.

 

its a non grease one and i did the axle ones not drive shaft and i just went out and try it again and when i put it in 4x4 and speed up its like a growling baseball card in spoke sound whn i let off the gas it stoped and all i did was u joints but its only in 4x4

 

Yeah ... I realize which ones you did. Just figured it was coincidence. Did you maybe drop a needle bearing out of one of the caps when you were pressing the u joints in?

 

i just did the same one in my front axle and mine had a grease zert to grease it

 

did u repack ur bearings wit new grease before u put ur hub back on?

 

but wouldnt they make a noise even is 2 wheel drive to its only in 4 wheel drive it makes the awful noise its just a awful garguling growl i dont know what i did rong

 

and the faster i go the louder it gets but only if 4x4 is ingaged if im just in 2wheel drive everything is fine
