Default front sway bar in the back.

I have an extra front sway bar, and am having issues with the rear end of my xj skipping when I hit pot holes. I currently have no sway bar in the back. Does anyone know if the front sway bar will work in the back?

Thanks in advance.

Don't where your at but your welcome to mine if your close by. BUT a rear sway bar's not going to solve your wheel hop problem. It's the reason I removed mine.

Try replacing the shocks to take care of your "skipping" problem. Adding a stiffer sway bar ain't the answer.

I removed my rear s/b,disconnected the front one,and added high psi charged monotube shocks. The roads I travel are mostly of the unimproved kind and those mods made it alot more manageable. He may have his vehicle sprung to heavy, have too much air in his tires, have tires with a heavy load range,or maybe all three.

NO it will not and a rear SB isn't needed, in fact I'm lazy and about half the time don't reconnect my front SB till I get back home.

Thanks for all of the comments, I do run E range mt/r Kevlarso at 50psi. I have 2" blocks in the rear with standard gas magnum shocks. 3" coils upfront with 2010 Rubicon shocks.

Load range E @ 50psi,huh? That'll help explain the wheel hop alright.

There's your problem. Too heavy of a load range, too much air pressure, and you're running 2" blocks. A whole lot of stuff working against you, especially the blocks.

Chalk test the tires and run the correct pressure. Which here is a hint... Will be under 26 psi.

Thanks autosurgeon, I appreciate the help. I will deflate my tires to around 26 psi tomorrow,. I originally put them at 50 to wear the middle of the tread a little more, but never aired them back down. I actually hate the E range tires, But I only Paid $200 For All 4. I couldn't beat the deal; and they "kinda" killed the death wobble.
Eventually I wanna lift it to 4.5 front and 5 back but that takes money I don't have at the moment. So I'll just have to live with the lift I have for a little longer. Thanks again.

I replaced my steering stabilizer yesterday and dropped my tire pressure to 30 psi, helped quite a bit. I'm gonna try 25 psi tomorrow.
Thanks again for all the help guys.
