Default Front Spring Rubs

I am wondering if I am the only one to experience this: When going over a bump or pothole - usually the latter - the left front spring rubs against the pitman-arm mount / bracket. Everything is in place as it should be. 1996 xj 2wd

Yeah, interested to see. Something is busted. Spring, spring perch, spacer, top seat, control arms...

I had the same problem with my WJ. The spring was rubbing on the swaybar link. What the problem was was the lower spring seat has a centering lip that keeps it centered and it had rusted away allowing the spring to shift forward. A little time with a welder and a couple of short pieces of exhaust pipe fixed BOTH sides.

Isn't the Pitman arm connected to the steering box? Do you mean track bar bracket?

Oops! Yes, I meant to say the track bar bracket / left mount. The left spring is just about up against it sitting at static.
