Default Fire stik mount/spring?

For Christmas I received a firestik model fs4 with a spring model ss3h. There is no hole on the spring for the cable. Do I have to buy a special mount? 1995 xj 4.0HO 4x4

Instead of using the threaded adapter, just screw your spring on.

The antenna fits the spring perfect, but the bottom of the spring doesn't have a hole for the male end to go in I just might use it without the spring

If this is your spring, then you still need the adapter above. When you're ready to install your cb and antenna come back and we'll help. There's more to it than just putting an antenna on and talking to truckers haha

Okay, that's it. I will. What is the adapter called? Disregard the other post

Typically it's called an antenna stud, you should be able to find it at Frys Electronics or any good truck stop with cb stuff. Radio Shack might but not all carry cb stuff.

Make sure you check your SWRs or you will blow up your CB if they are not set and make sure you have good grounds. If you are not sure about setting up a CB system I would advise finding someone that knows what they are doing to help you.
Good Luck
