Default wrong shims?

Something about the curved top surface tells me these are wrong? I got em from 4wd hardware. Aren't these for spring-under rigs?

I think the curve side is for the spring and the flat side is supposed to go on the perch. Thats the way I put mine in a couple years back and have had no problems. Mine looked just like those you have pictured.
One thing I had to enlarge the spring pin hole a little.

Ok a little confused here. Kyle said rounded side for axle and blue said rounded side for spring. Which? I looked up the part number online and it's for YJ's. It's still a little odd cuz if the curved part bolts on the spring then the spring arch is the opposite of the wedge arch and it wouldn't be bolted on completely flat with the spring? i can see how it would go on a YJ cuz the flat spot goes under the axle on the perch and the curved part goes on the spring following the same arch (spring under).

I just know that is what they sent with my kit. I bolted them up with the flat side against the flat spring perch and the curved side is up against the springs. Maybe they sent me a wrong part but it has been fine for the last two years. I did re-tighten the spring U-bolts about six months after the install and got about another turn on each leg of each of the u-bolts. I attributed it to wear in but don't know for sure. They have remained tight ever since though. Take it for what it's worth.

Do you have a picture of it installed on your rig? if not, it's cool.

Sorry no pics of the install. Just learning how to take pics with a digital camera and host the same on PB. I will photo document in the future.

Ok i spoke with 4wd hardware about the shims and they said these are indeed the wrong ones. XJ shims/wedges are flat on both sides, yj and spring under rigs are arched. He didn't recommend me using them because the arched surface will not get full contact with the leaf and may cause the leaf to arch up in the middle.
They didn't have any xj shims in stock (just my luck) so i ordered some from jeepinoutfitters instead.

Thanks guys.

I got another set of shims from Rubicon Express, via Jeepinoutfitters. These are 4 degree STEEL shims and came with center pins. Sweet. Flat on Flat, like it should be.

My experience with JO was great. I ordered 6 degree shims. After using the jeep for the weekend, i measured it again and it settled some. I only needed 4 degrees so i emailed JO and they swapped the 6 for a 4 just before RE shipped it. Awesome.

Yup. I've added them to my primary purchasing stores:

4wd.com
jeepinoutfitters.com
tellico4x4.com
rockauto.com

Best of the Best IMO.
