That's a decision only you can make, really. Factors like budget, how hardcore the intentions are on the weekend, etc.
I knew mine was going to be used very little on the road, but I didn't want to have it illegal to drive on the road. I also wanted it to be so if I needed to use it to get to work in the winter, I could. But everyday use was not a factor.
If you can afford it, get ARB's F&R. Or a selectable of some sort. One that replaces the whole carrier. I, like others have said, absolutely love my ARBs. Pneumatics are so quick and precise I can lock/unlock instantly. This is a big factor on the trails too. I have the Currie HD steering too, but have noticed when the front is locked it doesn't like to steer as well, so I hit the switch as soon as I don't need it locked.
I've also learned that I can unlock the rear and lock the front, and it will drag the front over rocks, etc.
Just my thoughts. I love my ARB's!

also for the guys with the currie steering, does it just bolt right in or do you have to drill the knuckle bolt holes out to fit?

Lock the front first with ARB> Then as soon as you can do the same to the rear. I just got back from Moab with my Dana 30 front ARB. It did great, now I am doing the rear. Can't wait to go back to Moab.

Just keep in mind that it will be hard to steer. I found it's a PIA sometimes with it locked, you know, in certain situations. It is a lot cheaper though.

Look at Mike H's pics and video. He is a DD running True-Trac front and back.
