I am with Diesel on this one. However, you can get away with it. Personally, I would just lock the rear. You will be able to go just as far. If you can't make it up something, just go in reverse.

Just go ARB front and rear. Hit a switch and you're locked up. Mine is a daily driver and I thrash on it on the weekends. The front locker helps me get up the sickest obstacles. I would strongly recommend upgrading your front steering setup if you put the locker in the front. All components are under more stress when the front is locked. I put the Currie on mine after I taco'd the stock drag link 90 degrees at Holy Cross and it is sick. I love my ARB lockers.

From experience not so good with a automatic locker because when you need 4wd on a snowy road your gonna be wrestling with the wheel to turn and keep it straight.
I'd go with what pitbull said and go arb hit a switch when you need it. not when it thinks you need it.

Yea I actually saw this pic and had to go outside to check it!! It is not bent the bottom of the inside side is rolled up. The pic just makes it look wrong. I was pretty relieved when I saw it was nothing serious.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is false. I have had it both ways, and trust me, adding a locker in the front will get you a lot more place than a locker in the rear alone will. I will add to the fact that auto lockers in the front flat suck on slick icy roads, but in the dirt, they can't be beat. I'm spooled in the rear, and have a Detroit Locker in the front, and my Jeep will get me into plenty of trouble...I park it in the winter though. If you are DDing your rig, and you drive on snowy/icy roads, an auto locker in the front is a VERY bad idea. If you aren't running trails that range up towards the difficult side of things, a locker in the rear alone will be fine, but if you are wanting to run tough trails, you will be blown away at what one in the front will do for your rig. I have found that it is actually easier on my rig to have lockers. I can crawl up stuff that I had to bash up before. HTH!!
LSDs usually have clutch packs, or another mechanical means, that gently apply tourque to a spinning wheel. Some, such as the True Trac, can be controlled with modulation of the brake pedal. They are far more street freindly than a true locker. True auto lockers will sharply engage/disengage, and cause traction loss. I know a guy that DDs his rig, and it is Detroit Locked in the rear, and True Tracked in the front. He has very little issues driving in snowy conditions. Me, on the other hand, that's a different story!! LOL!!
