flexplate help

Default flexplate help

there is a knocking noise coming from my flexplate. how can i tell if it is jus loose or if it needs to b replace. the guy i bought it from said tht it was crack and he replace it. but im not sure if he did or not. i was thinking mayb it was jus loose from when he did it or mayb he really didnt do it. how can i tell without taking the tranny out.

Take the inspection cover off.

Your going to have to crawl under your rig and remove the inspection plate. Grab a flashlight and look at your flex plate, the cracks usally show up around the bolt holes. After you check for cracks you can check for loose bolts, I think its a 15mm bolt, You will have to have a 3/4 wrench at the front to keep the plate from turning.

i no u can see the top half of my flexplate does tht mean the inspection plate has already been removed. does anyone know and does anyone have pics. thanks
