I was going off the "semi-truck sound" in your first post.

Also, the engine leans over more under driving conditons under a load than at idle and gassing it.

Could simply be your fan clutch but they usually don't fail in the "move more air" mode.

No, it's not normal. Hard to diagnose sounds over the internet.

You know my fan clutch started kicking in on every take off today. I was thinking it was weird hearing it while it was warmed up over and over again. Today was 93 and i had the ac blaring so maybe it kicks in when its really a extreme condition.
