Default Fan Sound when Accelerating

Greetings everyone, I am new to the forum and was reading some about the fan clutch problems everyone is having and what not but my question is: is my jeep supposed to sound a semi truck every time I accelerate?

I have a 93 Cherokee XJ 4.0 L 2WD

Do you know if the fan clutch is OEM or if it is was upgraded to an HD fan clutch or to a ZJ fan clutch?

I'd be checking the condition of the motor mounts and trans mount right away.

Mine only does this after a cold start. Goes back to not-noticeable after a minute or so of load. I actually wish it did that all the time, heh.

This. I believe when they clutch wears out it stops working altogether

If the fan is striking the shroud I would check the mounts, but if the noise is a roaring noise, it's because the fan clutch is working and moving air.

My 93 does this when the a/c is on. I have a switch for my radiator fan on the inside so after messing with that I know it's not the cause. It only does it sometimes, but I know that I can sit at idle with the a/c on and put it in neutral and give it some gas and it will make that same truck-ish fan noise, or when moving from a stop. As soon as I turn the a/c off, it won't do it. My a/c works fine (as far as I can tell) so I haven't messed with it.

Might be a totally different thing than yours though.

Also, bigger fan clutch = bigger roar, which is why I asked that question. When I put in a bigger fan clutch, it sounds like an entirely new engine

The fan clutch and fan are OEM, never changed them. I checked the tension of the fan when the motor was cool and it seems ok, not too loose, so the fan clutch should still be working. The sound comes out everytime I accelerate, whether or not I have the AC on or if the engine is warmed up.

How are the motor mounts or trans mounts related to this?

if the mount(s) have collapsed sometimes the driveline shifts enough to allow the fan to hit the shroud.

That makes sense but i dont think my fan is hitting the shroud because when the jeep is parked the fan will function normally but when i open the throttle the fan speeds up and makes a loud windy noise.
