Riverside, give us a description of the problem and we can help you a lot better. It also helps if you tell us more about your vehicle, especially the year.
If the motor is truly shot, the whole regulator assembly gets replaced.

Sorry for incomplete information.
My vehicle is a 92 Larado.
The drivers side window will get stuck going up and give a rattling sound, like the gear is stripped.
I took the door panel off and if I "helo it up" it will get over that stripped part and move up on it's own.
What needs to be replaced?
How do I get at it, as it seems all parts are riveted in place.

The whole shebang. The regulator. It's not considered to have any serviceable components, so, nobody sells the parts.
If you like, you can pop-rivet them back in, or use nuts and bolts as suggested in that thread. If you go that route, I completely agree with using nylon locking nuts for that application.
