i have a 99 jeep crand cherokee limited... i am having electrical issues...from time to time my power windows,radio controls on the steering wheel,A/C, my outside temp on the roof inculeding avg. mpg,instant mpg and ect does not work....but my compass works....also when i use the keyless entry the lights and horn does not flash and sound.....but the locks, lock and unlock....and also my dash lights are on like i have the head lights on but my head lights are not on.....and i dont think mmy auto headlights work at that time ...but im not sure....it has always been during the day....when this happens all i have to do to fix it is disconnect the neg..battery cable for a mere sec....and everything goes back to normal....please help.... this sucks that i cant figure it out....

 

start with your battery and very importantly your battery connections and grounds between teh engine, the body, the altenator and the battery. A bad battery or bad ground causes wierd stuff onthe WJ Grands.

 

thanks...but i dont think it is the battery....and i have tightin up the grounds but i still does it

 

try taking the connections at the PCM loose and make sure tehy are all making good contact, put a little dieletric grease on each plug when you put it back together. It either has to be a bad connection somewhere or you possibly have a PCM going bad.
