I adjusted the sleeve on my drag link to center my steering wheel, and I noticed that I have about 1/16 - 1/8" in play on either end around the bushings, most noticeably right below the pitman arm, like I can grab hold of it and rotate back and forth a little. Is this normal, or should I try and tighten it down?

New TRE's are always a good idea.

 

they have a ball and socket joint on either end that allow it to twist. If it has any side to side or up and down movement at all, it is bad

 

That wouldn't affect the drag link, would it?

Ok, it just twists a little, so I guess I'm all set.
