Default Dome Lights/Beeper/Radio Blew?

Not really sure if this is Advanced or OEM but mods can move it if they feel necesary. My aftermarket part modified and messed up an OEM part... Well today I was installing my Pioneer headunit that I've had for months but never installed... Me being an idiot forgot to disconect the battery and one of the wires (could not tell which) touched a metal surface, created a spark then all of the sudden my interior lights went out as well as the interior beeping. When I plugged in the OEM HU it also did not work. Everything else is fine so I am thinking it is some sort of fuse I blew but I cant find the corresponding fuse in the manual and the radio fuse in the passenger compartment is fine. Anyhelp appreciated. Thanks, Rob.

Did you check *all* the fuses? How about those in the PDC under the hood?

It was dark out so I only checked the radio fuse. Everything is fine except for what is mentioned so there is no need to check every fuse. I just want to know if there are fuses for the dome lights and beeping. Thanks, Rob.

Yes there are fuses for the interior lights and the warning beepers..I'm not sure if the are separate or they share.

I think the dome lights in mine are number 9 in the fuse box. I know it's a 10 amp fuse. Not sure about the beeper because I ripped out the sounding device a long time ago haha

The dome lights/radio/gauges are on a fuse in the engine bay. If you arced a wire from the stereo it would likely have blown. It should be either a 25 or 30a, cant remember.

I dont think it matters, most jeeps have a ton a similar architecture. Mines a 98 as well. I had a short in my rear pillar that blew that fuse easily 10 times. Found the short while installing an interior light bar in my tailgate. I'm lucky the short didnt start a fire.

Anybody know which cavity the fuse is in? I checked #17 in the passenger side compartment and the radio fuse was fine...
