Putting Dome light on Manual Switch
I have a dome light circuit causing a parasitic draw and have pulled the fuse. I was thinking about putting the dome light on a manual switch. I do not want the dome light to come on unless I turn it on. I would really appreciate anyone's advice on where to start on this. Is this something that would be difficult? I have wired simple circuits, but not sure this qualifies when you include all of the door jamb switches, etc. Thanks for your help!

The door jamb switches can be disabled, then the only way to turn on dome lights is by turning the headlight switch.

Easy way would be to disable the passenger door switch, pull the drivers side door switch and splice the wires together, pull the dome light, splice in a switch and mount it on the side of the dome light housing.
