I've been having a no-start condition a couple times a month. It will crank and crank but if I do it long enough it putters and starts up.
I hear most people with cps problems talking about stalling but it never does once it's started.
I have a renix, I did the tests and I got .1 ohms and 0 volts when cranking. If it's really that bad how could it work fine most of the time?

What year Renix?
If it were me, I would go to www.cruiser54.com and complete Tips 1 through 5 first as a preventative measure. Might just fix it also.
It's an 89'
Yes cranking with it unplugged. My multimeter doesn't show anything at all. I used the right connector.
I've done cruiser54's tips.. Guess i'll put in a mopar and see what happens.

Please be sure there aren't 2 CPS connectors and you're plugged into the wrong one. Here's why:
There was a TSB on replacing the CPS with a different harness. The tech was supposed to cut off the old plug. Many times they didn't.
Yes set on AC volts connected to the unplugged CPS. I followed the connector back and tried again it's the right one. The JEEP has been running great though.
