The ford 19s gave me a better idle, throttle response, but hurt my mileage even after resetting the computer and having them in for a month. I initially was just looking for better mileage and couldn't complain about throttle response or idle .

HO motors are 23.5 OEM. So, if you have a HO motor. You're running lean. Just fyi.

I'm well over 50 and started driving like a teenager with the improved throttle response. Ran like crap at first because I knocked off the map tube doing the swap. Maybe your decreased MPG is due to something else? Anyway the Renix ECU has no memory, stores no codes.

I'm hoping these injectors...so I've been told...will be a good swap...
This Ebay sale is for a full set (6) of Bosch type 3 Jeep 4.0 4-hole spray pattern upgrade injectors (Bosch part number 0280155700 or 0280155710). This is a very popular upgrade for the Jeep engine. You will have increased perofrmance, better idle, and increased gas mileage. They are a plug-and-play part. There are no modifications necessary.
They say they're plug and play...true?
Thanks for any info...

I don't know if these are "the" Ford Mustang injectors people like but they're nowhere near as common as the Neon injectors. Maybe more info here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/u...11/index3.html

On Renix models, just use the Volvo 746s. Best I've ever used.

There was a change in the ideal flow rate between 90, and the 91 on, HO engines. There's some stuff here> http://www.polog40.co.uk/article_injector_table.php

For a couple of years now I have read several threads on this forum and on jeepforum about the "upgrade" injector swap. I wish someone would take an engine and put it on a dynamometer and test the actual preformance delta of different injectors. Otherwise I am skeptical of the cause and effect of mpg increases or other preformance improvements. Each time I change my oil it seems my heep runs faster. Anecdotes are some evidence for sure, but actual measured data would be better.

No need to - any performance gains unless paired with engine modifications are circumstantial. Basically you install brand new clean injectors: You'd achieve similar results with brand new of the OE style. The finer spray pattern nets most engines better low speed pull (and smoother idle) which isn't exactly measureable on a dyno. But that's it. You will not notice much of a difference with most injectors unless yours were clogged.

(I am speaking to the Neon upgrade and my own experience with Ford XF2E-C4B. Renix and the Volvo 746 injectors are probably different, and also not a fire hazard)

Thanks "2000".. Short if the dino I can share something that might be of interest. It's a little long. The 87-90 used a flow rate of 18.6 Lbs/Hr. The later use 22 23? So...that's OK for the earlier, with a couple exceptions. The Default pulse width for the early will be rich with the higher flow rate. Once it comes to temp and goes to closed loop. the 02 sensor can "trim" the pulse so the end result is within perimeters. A small booger is running rich doesent help it heat up to go to the controlled pulse width. So those do work on the higher flow rate, and better with the 4 hole than the original squirt gun.

Now here's my take on the 702 vs 746 for Renix. YES, the puter' CAN adjust the pulse width to provide the correct readings at the 02 sensor. But, with shorter pulses to the 703, and longer for the 746. That would result in smoother atomization. I think that is why I, and the others who have gone there like them so much.

Here's some specks anyone might like to see! > http://www.jeep4.0performance.4mg.com/tech_specs.html

No reset needed, as a Renix eCU doesn't really reset.

Sure it does - every time you turn it off!
