Can I use a piece of 2x4 to extend my rear bump stops 2 inches, (Mount the wood between the body and the bump stop).

I don't think this is the best idea in the world, but as long as the Jeep doesn't simply explode when trying this I'm willing to give it a shot.

Note this is for very mild off roading only, (pastures and dirt roads)

Quadratec sells them in 23, 24, 25 and 28mm.

The wood will compress, crack, and eventually fall apart. I would not recommend it.

Normally, I would never recommend replacing an engineered part with a piece of wood but in this case, give it a go. It's not like bump stops are crucial safety items or anything that could cause harm to yourself or other motorists if it fails. I'd recommend using Beech for it's tight, unidirectional grain and relative imperviousness to water.

As far as your sway bar bushings, I asked the same question once and was told to measure the sway bar with calipers to determine the size. There is no other way to know.

It'd probably work for a while, but heck man, if you've got a decent drill you could get some scrap shorts of rectangle tubing from a local steel supplier and use that. It'd last forever haha. In any case, the bumpstops are not a crucial part of your suspension, you won't die if they fail lol.

But please, no wood axles, drag links, track bars, or drop pitmans. Seriously. I mean it.

Haha, that'd be great. Drill and tap a 2" oak dowel for tie rod ends. Drag link for under 10 bucks.

By the way, hockey pucks with a hole drilled through the middle make great (and really cheap) bump stop extenders. And they'll last longer than anything made of wood.

Why wouldn't you just use 2*2 square tubing and get extended bolts and put it between your frame and stock rear bumpstop? It's doing the same thing as your wood idea, but much safer and long term.
