(FIX WAS NEW CAM SENSOR)
So just bought an 01 cherokee and I drove it to work to put some new brake lines on it and clean it up. It’s been running great except when it first started up it ran terrible. that stopped after running it for a bit and it cleared up. (Jeep has been sitting since 2019) Anyways when i got back home I pulled it into my driveway to check trans fluid levels and just look for leaks since this is the first time I’ve really had it up to temp, and then I turned it off to get under it and look for leaks everything seemed good so I got back up and went to turn it on and I’ve got a no start condition first thing I did was check fuses, relays, and fuel pressure and everything checks out, even spraying starting fluid down the intake doesn’t get it to fire up. I did my research and went with a quality CKS replacement and still can’t get it to start, did more digging and found a guide to testing a CKP and found that voltage with the new CKP does change when turning the crank (0-5v) so I know I didn’t get a dud. Did the tooth pick test on the CSS with TDC and all and that is properly aligned. Just pulled my coil rail and I’m getting 2-3 ohms of resistance instead of 0.7-0.8~ but granted it’s 45 degrees out now. Checked all of my grounds, battery terminal connections, and even slapped in a new battery, still nothing. I’m still new to electrical diagnostics so my caveman brain ain’t doin the best with all this but any input is greatly appreciated! I wanna go wheeling! Thanks
No spark but plenty of fuel pressure, I’m 100% certain that the CKS is doing it’s job properly and the signal is getting to the PCM so my next step is to test the CSS, I did the toothpick test but didn’t check to see if the sensor itself is doing it’s job.
Did you scan for codes? Even if you haven't seen the check engine light on, checking for codes, codes in history, pending.....if there are any, that can point you in the right direction.

Only one that popped up is a P0320 for cam sensor so I’m waiting for the sensor to get delivered today, some people say that it could mean CKS is bad too but I know my CKS is working properly and that the pcm is receiving a proper 0-5v alternating signal so I hope the CSS works!
That code is likely the key to your no-start. When you get ONLY the P0320 code, in my experience it has usually been the camshaft position sensor itself.

Fingers crossed, let us know if this resolves it.
Looks like my cam sensor magnet is f*cked LMAO, could be the reason for my P0320! New sensor going in when I get it delivered tonight.
