Complete n00b to lifting questions.
Ok, let me start with my goals. Id like to get my 99 xj lifted 2" so that i can run 30x10.5s(with new wheels, of course). I plan to either use 5.9 springs in the front, or just spacers on the stock springs, but, I have questions about the rear.
I have read up on bastard packs, and it seems like 1 s10 leaf would give me the lift i want, but I dont want them to go flat right away. Does anybody make a full pack for a 2" lift? I would go 3, but am trying to avoid the sye, etc. I want a nice daily, that I can take back into the woods, etc when i go shooting/fishing/other stuff.

thanks man. will 1.5" clear 30s? Ive got 225/70/15 now, which should be about a 29.4 total height and it clears plenty fine, with a decent amount of flex, so im hoping with the lift and a slightly bigger tire ill be ok.

hey man, i just read the description to that roughcountry 1.5". It says that it uses rear shackles, From what i understand even a brand new set off stock leaf's will be destroyed by shackles very quickly.

Give Rough Country a call. I'm sure they can hook you up with a 1.5 or 2" Budget Boost with an add a leaf or full new spring pack, if that is what you want.

hey man, I am in a similar situation, I have been looking around alot and i have spent alot of research on 2 inches....i viewed a site called quadratec and they offer 3 leaf spring packs made by old man emu,(heavy duty pack, medium duty pack, or light duty pack) each pack is $111, you will also need to buy new u bolts and bushings for these packs if you go this route. here is the link Old man emu is a very good brand too!!!! http://www.quadratec.com/products/pr...=122&pg=2&pg=1
As for the front suspension you could go a couple of routes, you can jus go with 2" coil spacers, or you can buy a 2" coils, I found some 2" coils off of a site called Rusty's offroad here is the link to that:

I am currently trying to go this route if i can jus get permission from my stepdad, he has one thick head to say the least!!!! They say you do not need to get new shocks, and i jus put some shocks that are good for 0-3" of lift so i should be good, but you may want to upgrade to get a better ride....jus my 2 cents.
