Well I did my wifes CAI the other day and It was a little difficult but its done. What I did was use a stock airbox and cut the air inlet off and used a few spectre fittings from autozone alone with cutting the front of the box out. The fittings I used are a 90, 22.5, 3'' with vaccum ports, and a 45 into the filter. I also made an adapter that fit directly onto the TB so I can go into the 90 directly. I'd post pics but not sure on how to. If someone can tell me I'll try and post them later on tonite. Good luck .

19.99 spectre air filter @ autozone
3in exhaust pipe about 18in long
2 hose clamps
nipples from the stock air box glued in with epoxy
cut the stock air tube right behind the bigger ripples
need more info let me know
oh yeah its not a cold air intake with out a heat sheild its just a high flow air intake
total cost for everything used was about $35 tops

The adapter I made was 3/16 flat steel with a 3'' hole cut into the middle to fit a piece of 3'' exhaust pipe wich was welded into the plate. I then found put the plate on the TB to find out where the IAC port was and ground down that part of the adapter along with the hole on the TB to let the air flow better into the IAC. I also cut the stock TB hose at the base where I could use the rubber as the gasket. I had to cut the 90 down a little to make sure it fit under the hood. You also have to cut a small portion of the hood support to clear the tube. In order to find out where to cut put some grease on the tube and close the hood slowly enough to see where to cut. The air box has to be cut and ground out enough to clear the 45 into the side for a semi tight fit along with the front of the box but you don't have to cut the hole thing out just from the bottom up to the ridge where the clasp are so you can still close the box. I'm sorry I don't have pics of the hole thing going together. I have to drill a .5'' hole into the tube for the intake air temp sensor instead into the back of the box where its at now. Here are some pics I'll post more in a moment.

I did this and my filter gets muddy all the time. The one Ics91 did looks like a good idea vs. the filter just hanging out in the open.

You still can't go through mud and water but its a cold air intake cause its in the stock box and not out in the open for the hot air off the exhaust.

are your fenders trimmed or something cause mine stays pretty dry even the 92 with 3inches of lift and 31s stayed dry and we drove that through what looked like a pond but was only like 2 or 3 foot deep
