No. The ignition is totally different. It uses 3 coils to fire 2 plugs every revolution, called the Waste Spark System. It's all controlled by the PCM and the distributor gets replaced with the cam sensor that controls injector pulse timing. Why would you want to do that anyway? It makes to doubly hard to diagnose a misfire. Guys that have it are changing to a Dodge Caravan V6 coil and plug wires.

Because I have a spare 2000 motor that had the viper coil pack and I was just wondering if I changed the pcm, the engine wiring harness and the cam sensor if it would work

Alot of work for no gain, the distributitor ignition is better.

The PCM is totally different. I seriously doubt you'd get it to work even after repinning the connectors and reprogramming it.

My question remains, why bother to do this? The waste spark system was designed to help cut down on emissions, not to make a better system. The rail pack has a tendency to short internally and is difficult to diagnose and expensive to replace.

I know, you're staring at that Viper coil and wish it would work on your jeep. I get it. You'd be better off getting a high voltage coil for your system.

I'm sure you can make it work.

It will be a lot of work to go BACKWARDS.
