1989 Cherokee, internal slave Ax-15, It's now been almost 6 months since I have had a reliable clutch. First off i put in a brand new clutch just a little over a year ago. I have replaced the master cylinder, and slave cylinder with top quality parts from napa. I have had a new hydraulic hose custom made. Despite all that air still gets in the line! When I bleed it, it bleeds very easily. But as soon as I drive 5 minutes the clutch is back to engaging to the floor. The only part of the clutch system not new is the two metal lines that come out of the slave cylinder. My new slave didn't come with them. I'm 90% sure that air is entering through the bleeder screw but I don't have any idea where to get a new one?!? Anyone have any ideas how I can get a new bleeder screw, or new lines, or how I can fix it to make it work? Anything is very appreciated. Thanks!
Is yours the internal slave? If it is this is what found.I had a big problem with my clutch about six months ago.I went through three slave cylinders and replaced the master cylinder. I did find that where the metal lines go into the slave cylinder there are two rubber o rings that fit around the metal lines and then are secured with little u shaped pins. If those are cracked or rotted or not seated in there good they will leak. I would pull the tranny(I know a real pita) but I would replace those and the metal lines. Hope this helps.

when you say its engaging at the floor, is the clutch still grabbing and making it hard to shift?
pedal free play could be off, too much would cause you to not get enough travel and thus keep the clutch from letting go.
i have an auto in mine, so not sure how much of this type of adjusting can be done on a cherokee but its a thought.

Thanks for all the help guys. What i ended up doing is i went and talked to napa and they got in a slave cylinder that came with new metal lines, so they just swaped out my old slave for this new one. Yesterday i tore out my tranny, installed the new slave, threw the tranny back in, and bled the clutch and now its working perfect! so i guess my air leak was at the bleeder screw
