shorted circuit in the ecm
well today i found out that one of the circuits in the engine control module shorted. i dont have 200 bucks to buy a new computer for my jeep.
so is there any cheaper way of fixing my problem.
is it possible to just buy a used computer and just plug it in to my jeep.
or is absolutely necessary to get the used computer reprogrammed.

Sorry, but you really need get the replacement computer flashed with the correct VIN and current milage. With out getting this done the engine will run but more than likely none of your guages will work and your transmission may not work properly.
