Angry Clutch Pedal Soft When Off Throttle

Hey I've got a 94 manual cherokee and my clutch pedal has started to suck in a couple inches when I let off the throttle and start to engine brake. I cant figure out what the issue could be. The only thing I can think of is that it's an issue with my slave cylinder but I didnt think it would be tied in to the engine rpm.

Hmm i dont know if these are cable or hydraulic. If it is hydraulic check the fluid it may be low/empty. if so maybe the slave cylinder is going bad. but take my advice with a grain of salt cause i had a miata that did a similar thing lol. was a bad slave cylinder. i never had the chance to look at a cherokee clutch setup.

Hydraulic.

Check the fluid level and condition.

Kinda out there, but see if the trans to engine bolts aren't tight.

I think I figured out what's going on, it seems my throwout bearing has gone bad. I belive it could be caused by the trans to engine bolts being loose from previous owner said he changed the clutch himself so I don't trust he did it right.

Well, if the bellhousing bolts are that loose, it might have trouble running since that'll misalign the CPS sensor too. Get under there and check the bolts.

If you don't trust his work, maybe he didn't put something together as he should.
