Default Clunking in front diff

Hey guys I'm getting a nasty clunking in my front end when I'm accelerating and hitting a bump in the road or when turning right. There is also a small leak in the rear where the driveshaft goes into the housing. It has to be drivetrain related since it is only happening when I'm accelerating.

Any ideas on what the problem is?

Thanks

The clunk in the front probably has nothing to do with the leak in the rear.

The leak sounds to be your pinion seal.

Clunking could be trackbar, lca,t oí e rods, just have someone move sterring wheel back and forth while you look at the front end parts and feel for the popping

I know it's not that because it's only happening when I am accelarating

My buddies made a clunk as well. LCA bushing was gone. Might as well rule out the things people are suggesting rather than brushing them off. Only takes a minute.

Might want to check the backlash. Does it make the same noise when suddenly decelerating?

I checked those first and narrowed the noise to the front differential

Well I reread it LOL, grab your driveshaft on the front and see if it has any play up and down or side to side could be a pining bearing failure, if not check the upper and lower control arms,my lowers have a bad bushing and it clunks when acceleration braking turning and backing up

and also check the tracbar bolts on the axle side. they are usually a culprit for the clunking when turning.
