Default Clicking noise when turning left...

Hey i just bought my self my first cherokee last tuesday. Ive noticed that when ever i make a hard left it makes a clicking noise. So yesterday one of my friends said it had something to do with my U joint. I checked it out today and there was some black grimmy stuff on it. Should i clean it off or what should i do. Heres a picture of it

That thing with the black grease around it is your upper ball joint. You may as well do all of them at the same time. 4wp has dana/spicer balljoints upper and lower sets for like $45 or something. You'll need a ball joint press. The u joint is the part on the axle. You may as well replace those while you're at it because the axles need to come out anyway. Also check your wheel bearings. If they have any play, you might as well also replace those while you're at it because the unit bearing needs to come out too. You can get the ujoints at oreilly. They are about $15 each or so. Make sure you tell them for the axle. Most of the time they just assume you're talking about the ones for the driveshaft.

You should. Jack the truck up. Try to wiggle the wheel up and down. If there is any play, it's probably your ball joints. Inspect the u joints in the axles. If there is any play, replace them.

Could be a fuse or the relay for the signals or the switch.
Check the fuses first.
