So I rebuilt my Chrysler 8.25 for Pinion I reused the 3 tan shim it came with and replace bearings. My backlash I’m am reading .006. I reused ring and pinion I only replaced carrier bearings and pinion bearings. Checking how does it look?
also for gear oil break in 75w140 I can not find non synthetic locally only able to source 80w-90 would this be sufficient for breaking in bearings for 500 miles?

 

Pattern looks fine, 80w90 or 85w140 are both fine to use in that axle, I use 85w140 to keep the lockers quiet.
