Dash Display
Hello,
just jumping in for some quick recommended help.
We have a 2000 Jeep CJ Sport. When we turn on the instrument dash display for speedometer, oil pressure, etc, they do not immediately work. Once we run the vehicle for a few minutes, they finally activate.
I checked the fuses and they are all fine. I know some videos say it may be dirty back there where the plug for where the instrument panel is. Only issue I see is that they do come in, so I don’t know if cleaning. Them would help or not.
thanks!

Not to be "that guy" but this is a Cherokee forum.
Oil pressure, temp and other gauges, need input from their respective sensors so it may be they need the engine running to display something. Does the fuel gauge work right away? What about the tach?
Did you just buy this or have you had it awhile? If awhile did it just start doing this?

Probably meant XJ, since those keys are quite close to eachother. Those gauge clusters are known for some type of canbus wiring issues that cause them to work sporadically or not at all. could also be a loose connection.
