My shifter rattles, my dash rattles, there's some sort of creaking coming from the glove box. It's a Jeep, they do that.

That's true, True... Mine makes a nasty, loud "POP" all the time. I hardly even notice that anymore, same with all the other squeaks...

Try setting a gremlin trap before you take the dash apart. You may have an infestation.

Gremlin infestation!!!!
Yikes!
I'd sooner have a Javelin or AMX infestation... those are more tollerable.

Are you the original owner?
Was the radio messed with? DAPO put an aftermarket in?
Did YOU put an aftermarket in?

haha yes they do. mine has some, try and not listen though.

does it affect the way your jeep drives? if not, dont stress it. easiest way to fix it, that **** on your radio that says volume, turn it up.

change. if you use your ashtray as a change tray, coins will fall through the small gaps and land just inside the center dash/stereo trim.

last time i took the center dash trim off my tj (same design), i found almost 4 bucks. COFFEE!!

"The Jeep Rattle" is a well-known phenomena and is not to be worried about. Common remedies include increasing music level, get louder tires, simply cope.

I can't find much that doesn't rattle in my Jeep. Glovebox, center console, shifter, ashtray, radio, dash, antennas up top, lights up top, it gets ridiculous.

I feel left out.
Mine doesn't rattle. Its quiet, except radio. Not even wind noise, unless I crack the window open.

That sounds serious! Time to trade it in for a new one.
