Default 8.25 gear pattern

New bearings (pinion, carrier, axle) and Carrier (LS),, Same housing, gears and pinion shim.

I assembled with pinion "set-up" bearings and .008 backlash,, I think backlash was 8-10 when I tore it down.

Drive side pattern looks OKish,,

Coast is more towards the heel.

Suggestions ??

I'm not expert but I'd say the driver's side is better than "OK-ish". What more do you want there. It's centered root to crown, heel to toe. The coast side is not high and not low, so that is good. You could try to move the pinion to move the pattern towards the center but I'm not sure how much that will affect the drive pattern.

My recent D30 rebuild has a nice centered drive side pattern with a coast side centered crown to root, but slightly towards the toe. I'm going to run it and hope it works out.

I'm sure others much more knowledgeable than me will be along to help you out.

Thanks for the response,
As I do have set-up bearings on the pinion,, I may try to reduce the pinion shim 3-4 thousands and see what it does.
I have read conflicting "charts" on line. But a few said that reducing the pinion shim will bring the drive side out towards the heel, and bring the coast in towards the toe. How the two sides can move in opposite directions defies logic,, but I may give it a try.

I tried some different set up.
I am thinking the original set up from yesterday with .080 BL was as good as it gets.
These gears really want the BL to open up to .010 like it was when I tore it down.
