Default Chrysler 8.25 with ABS?

So it seems to be a well know fact that the 8.25 doesn't have abs. I was looking at buying a new diff cover and saw that i have the Chrysler and not the dana but I have an abs light in my dash. Which by the way has never worked since i got the jeep. I checked and i have abs sensors on the front D30 but i couldn't tell on the back. So idk whats up with my rig? So is it possible that i only have front ABS?

I think, think, that is just there cause jeep used one gauge cluster with one set of indicators on it regardless of model. They did his with wiring harnesses, too, lots of empty wiring harnesses... And no you won't have abs in front and not rear. It would defeat the purpose of it..

does this mean if you put in a Chrysler 8.25 and add disc brakes there is a way to keep abs?

you can't have abs with drum brakes?? why does the dana 35 have drum brakes and not disc brakes? abs is dumb, just replace it with dumb brakes

I have a 94 Grand Cherokee and it has factory ABS and rear drum brakes! Anti-lock brakes have been out since the 60s or even earlier. They used to called anti-skid brakes and almost on anti-skid brakes had drums back then.

Not trying to make enemies but, I have been turning wrenches for well over 30 years. Toyota's have front disc, rear drum ABS, as do Chevy Cavaliers, Chevy Corsica, I could go on and on.

my question is if I swap to the chrysler 8.25 can I retain my abs system? I found a thread on naxja that showed how to keep abs with a dana 44. regardless of what anyone may think of abs I drive my cherokee on the street more than off the road so abs is important to me
