Well i picked up a stock '96 XJ Country. Im its 3rd owner and its my 2nd XJ, The previous owner(s) didnt maintain anything, other than the paint. So i brought it in to the shop to get looked over because the steering wheel had play, and pulled to the right, advising a new steering box i went for it, I had them align it aswell. My mechanic said that after the alignment it still slightly pulled to the right. He advised i get adjustable balljoints and he can tweak it on the alignment rack. Now i feel that adj, balljoints would just hide the problem, but he also presented me with a chrysler bulletain that stated some cherokees should have offset balljoints. Ill have to look into that more but do you guys think these will eliminate my pull too the right???

Just because your arm hurts it doesn't mean you need a heart transplant.
Did he try to align it? What were the specs he found?
Depending on WHY it's pulling, adjustables may or may not help. There are dozens of things that can make it pull.

Radi - There are no signs of a prior accident, and the front axle seems to be straight by eyeine it.
RRich- He did align it and im not sure on how the specs look i didnt get a printout, but i will be asking for a copy tommarow so ill let you know. I feel the same way about the adjustable's, I figured that would be the last thing i would do if i was 110% sure my frontend was tight and i for some reason needed them.
In all today a couple things got figured out and 1 thing broke at a good time.
I for some reason did not considered the fact i have a cracked main eyelet on the driver side main leaf itself so im going to start with new leafs for the 96 when i get my 97 xj back togther. That should kill allot if not all the dogwalking and go from there. On a side not i flushed my cooling system this past saturday by filling the radiator with water and running the engine for about 10 mins... The water and antifreeze were brown. Did it once threw in a new thermostat, and housing and added some new 'freeze ( Mopar 'Red'??) A day goes by and i notice a leak that i thought was coming from the lower radiator hose ended up being the waterpump. I got a new one put in today and the fluid from the block was a brown color. He advised that some internal might be rusting and might start leaking . I will try a new radiator and wait to see the coolant afterwards until i make anymore decision's. Right when the water pump was done and he was about to pull her out of the shop he felt the wheel loose control and the power steering pump blew !! Thatnkfully when the engine wasnt hot and i wasnt driving 40 miles home

The brown coloring in your coolant could be that someone added stopleak, the problem with adding that is that it will plug up your heater core as well. If you decide to replace the radiator pay the extra money for the heavy duty (copper/brass) unlike the plastic/aluminum that is the recommended replacement. Both of my XJ's have the heavy duty radiator installed. Xj's are used by municipalities so they have heavy duty options.
Flush out the heater core, I cut a garden hose and run water through them to keep them flowing as a heater core replacement is not easy on an XJ.
