was ur jeep doing ok before u changed the alternator?
If yes...check the harness from the alternator to the pcm....coil and grounding...
Mine the socket to the coil pack did not sit in tightly...it will turn over but no start...deprived of spark....
I wiggled the 2 wies to the coil pack and it started...
Cleaned the connectors with contact cleaner and used a small screwdriver to cramp the brass connectors inside the socket and it does well....at the same time I cleaned all the connections to the alternator with wire brush.
Hope this help...good luck.

If the crank sensor is bad your jeep will still crank over but will not start.

Question....after the jeep died, did you try to jump it at all? If you did, what happened? If you haven't maybe you should try that first. If it starts take it from there.......
