Default Changing my oil

So, in the past I've done some research on here about what oil to use, since last February I've been using castrol oil, I switched to the rotella t5 and she's been running great! My question is this: if you read my other post I recently had an oil leak issue and had to and some oil to replace what was lost, I need to do an oil change and was thinking to upgrade to the T6, being that I have about a half gallon left of the t5 can I mix it with the T6 or should I just buy the 2 gallons and save the T5 for emergencies? All of the rotellas are on sale right now at advance from 12.99 to 19.99.

Just found this picture online

I wouldnt go mixing fluids, but that might be me. Differences are there for a reason. If its running 'great' on one type, why change it? There are many 'holy wars' on what engine oils to use. Stick with what works for you. The people that engineered your 4.0 had 10W30 in mind. I'd say, they probably know best.

T5 is fine. Oil filter selection is far more important.

Yep. Wix, Napa Gold are known good, purpose built oil filters for our 4.0s.

Stay away from the quick oil change brands, Fram, STP etc.

T6 for $19.99?! Send some up here! Sale price is $32.49

T6 is good stuff, do whatever you like. Search on bobistheoilguy.com for it and you'll notice it produces some of the best used oul analyses in the 4.0L.

For the guy who said don't mix: T5 is a synthetic blend, T6 is a full syn. It's already mixed.

Definitely go for the WIX filter. If you don't get much gas in the oil WIX 51515/NAPA Gold 1515, bigger for more dirt capacity.

The cheap Jiffy Lube/FRAM/STP/Quaker State and low price store brand units are junk. "If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't." WalMart Canada recently stopped carrying most of the FRAM line in favor of Bosch and Purolator.
