carrier removal help

Yeah Ive read that ring can be a punk. I did find a write up where you drill a hole in it just smaller than the thickness of ig, then crack it with a chisel. The guy who did it said it wasnt that hard at all. If I cant get it, Ill just take it to my mechanic and have him take it off with a hydraulic press.

IMO ... drill/cut/chew it off



Then use the press to install the new one.



And *dont* forget the seal and axleshaft retainer/flange !!! Ask me how I know.
