Transmission filler neck wont come out of my tranny pan! in a 1998 jeep cherokee and its about to start storming any help would work thanks

Not sure if they separate off the pan. If youre doing a fluid and filter change you could unbolt the one strap thats accessable from the engine bay, that and a bit of manuevering will allow enough room to get the filter swappped.

If youre doing something else youre probably going to have to try to separate the tube where the lower part connects to the upper part (they are jammed together look for the seam on the tube) chances are though itll be extremely hard to separate.

Yea i was just doing a fluid and filter change. I already undid the strap after all this storming gets done ill try and maneuver around and get it out of there! thanks if i have any troubles ill post them up!

Yeah its a pita. I ran into that issue too....it just takes some patience and you will get 2-4 inches of room....just enough to pop a small ratchet in there to get the bolts out.

Good luck and hopefully there WONT be any bigger issues!

Well got the filter changed tight squeeze but its changed! now i need i to stop raining once again to get the pan bolted up. Thanks for the advice
