I've replaced all of my door seals with new but I can't get my front doors to seal. The gap is so large that i can physically see light out of them and they leak like crazy. The problem I am seeing is that the top of the doors is pushed out. The door lines up perfectly with the body lines until you get to where the window is, then it's pushed out. I don't think adjusting the hinges will fix that, but i don't have anything that can get in that small gap to adjust them. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what i can do? Could it be possible that i flexed my rig hard enough to bow the doors?

Wait...XJ doors are supposed to seal? Take them off, you'll have less air leaks.
Try loosening the hinge bolts and realigning the doors, doing that helped mine a bit.

You can check to see if the top of your door is bent out an see about benign it back in. How does the window look in the track?
Here's a pic of the gap on my driver door. The rubber bumper doesn't even touch the door jamb. Standard craftsman flat head for size reference of the gap.
I'm just not trying to go another -5 degree winter with bad door seals. Not only is it cold, but my doors freeze shut because the ice leaks down between the seals.

Roll the window down. Open the door. Place your knee about even with the window wiper on the inside of the door towards the rear edge. Grab the top of the window frame and give a good tug towards you. Check how it seals and repeat if necessary.

I had to do something similar with a Chrysler minivan I once owned. I actually put a 2x4 in the jamb near the latch/lock and gave a good push on the window frame with the window down.
It only took one push and the door sealed tighter than it ever did before. No more air leak, no more water leak, no more wind whistle.

I'll have to give that a shot. I tried to bend it in with the door closed but didn't succeed. Never thought to try that method. Thanks for the input.
