Absolutely.

As long as the AFT container states it conforms to Dexron III/Mercon it's okay. However, you don't need Max Life mixed with straight DEX/Merc.

Is that because MaxLife is synthetic or something?

MaxLife is already D/M

EDIT: well the D/M version is anyway. I can't remember if they produced multiple ATFs

I was thinking CCKen's post might mean not mixing synthetic with conventional. The MaxLife PDF says it's formulated with synthetic base stocks.

Never heard of not mixing synthetics with conventional before They do it before putting it into the bottles!

Going to guess by the price that the MaxLife products are Group III anyway

I thought I said he doesn't NEED to mix Max Life with straight DEX/MERC.

Why spend the extra money on Max Life.

Although Max Life is synthetic I don't think it will turn your ATF into cottage cheese if you mix the two. I've read it's okay to mix syn with non-syn ATF [?]. It happens when some fool fills your trans with ATF+4 (which is a full synthetic) and you are draining/refilling to get it out.
